Ermita de los Remedios

This historical church, which lies just outside of the medieval Alhama de Granada city limits, is sadly today a ruin.
It was built in the 17th century and above the door are the Arms of the Padillo family. During the civil war it was sacked and defaced but was still looked on as a temple of worship at the time of the great earthquake as it survived the quake almost untouched. Over the centuries it has been used as a storehouse and cattle pen.
